A familiar and popular name in the area, Prestons has firmly established itself over the last 90+ years (Est. 1919), as one of the leading independent motor dealers located in the Chelmsford area.

Prestons is a family run business and prides itself on giving good service and value for money. Conveniently situated just outside Chelmsford off the A414, in the picturesque village of Writtle, Prestons has much to offer. Should a customer require servicing or repairs Prestons have a 'state of the art' aftersales facility, employing fully qualified technicians. We also have a recently installed new computerised MOT testing facility located on site.

Trading Standard - On ISO 9000

We are an authorised Skoda Aftersales Dealer. We took on the Skoda franchise in 1995 when we had the whole dealership including the selling of new Skoda, however, in 2002 we made the decision to become an aftersales retailer, and a valuable part of the Skoda main network for servicing, warranties and parts.

However we do deal in second hand Skoda and continue to sell new Skodas to our customers through another dealer.

The Skoda franchise has a superb range of vehicles from the small car being the Fabia, then the Octavia and the limo size vehicle known as a Superb. Across the range we have diesel and petrol engines of varying sizes, manual and automatic, saloon or hatchback models.
